/Country Music PR News/ - NEW BRAUNFELS, TX, January 07, 2006 - HumBug Records, a new label focused on music "Made in Texas", has announced the signing of Michael Clancey to a recording contract. Clancey's smooth voice and engaging stage presence have made him a long-time favorite in the San Antonio area, and earned him a spot on Shiner Bock's Texas Music Top 10 List. He has also been named the Best Local Entertainer by the San Antonio Current.

"We were producing a country song to present to another artist, and hired Michael to do the vocal on the demo," said Sam Mims, president of HumBug. "He sounded so good on it that we asked Michael to do a whole country album, and kept that song as the first single."

That song, A Hundred Second Chances, has been released as a CD Single. Produced by Mims, and featuring the guitar work of Rick McRae (of George Strait's band), the song was mixed by Gary Hickinbotham, who engineered the Grammy-nominated debut record for the Texas Tornados. A Hundred Second Chances is currently getting airplay in the San Antonio market, and is available for purchase or preview at www.humbugrecords.com.

Clancey's album, as yet untitled, is slated for release in mid-2006.
